Our Story
But I am not unique in my struggles. My story is the story of millions of African children who face seemingly insurmountable challenges every day. Yet, it is also a testament to the potential that lies within each of us.

A glimmer of hope emerged when someone saw the potential in me and took me under their wing. This mentorship changed everything and with it, a new world of possibilities opened up. Today, I stand as a testament to the power of support and guidance. I've not only survived but thrived, becoming a leader.
Over the past fourteen years, I've had the privilege of raising tens of thousands of other leaders. However, my story is also intertwined with tragedy. My sister, the firstborn, wasn't as fortunate. She dropped out of school and, at just fourteen, lost her life.
The difference between my sister's fate and mine wasn't potential – we both had that in abundance. It was opportunity. Opportunity to nurture, to grow, and to become our best selves. This realization fuels my passion for youth leadership development.
I believe that every African child deserves the opportunity to thrive, to become a leader, and to make a meaningful impact in their community. I believe that we have the power to create a brighter future for Africa, one where every child can reach their full potential.
The scars of Africa's suffering are undeniable, but so is the vastness of her power. I am not a stranger to Africa's pain, but I am a testament to her promise. Therefore, I rise, we rise – the young people, Africa's arm of strength. We refuse to despair; instead, we give ourselves daily, our hearts beating as one with Africa's.
The spirit of Africa is alive in us, and we will not let tomorrow's challenges defeat us. We will be the weapons of peace, love, and life. I believe that the same strength that has persevered through untold pain can move mountains. These bones can live, and we will become a mighty army that rebuilds ancient ruins and sets foundations for future generations. My duty is to resound the cry: 'Look up, child! Look within, child!' Renounce the illusions and limitations around you. Rise from the dust heap, you African child, full of glory and splendor! Renounce your begging; you were meant to multiply bread. Wipe your tears; you are able to calm seas. Cast off your dread; you were meant to walk on water.
I will fan the flames of hope with my last breath and pass the torch to the next generation to burn brighter and witness more breathtaking sunsets
I firmly believe that Africa and the world can not afford to lose the contribution of our young people; for in each of their dreams lies a piece of the world we envision.
