Rachael nuwagaba - Education & Mentorship Cord.

Racheal is a Counseling psychologist, Lecturer at Makerere University, consultant/ researcher and Educator of both children and adults. She is passionate about building healthy families and communities and is on mission to train, build, and energize the young people into the next generation of Ugandan leaders who will influence societal and National Transformation.

Racheal helps adolescents and families explore social difficulties with siblings, school mates, behavioral issues at home and school and psychological issues such as defiance, self-esteem, anxiety, addictions, depression and, marital difficulties.

Racheal has a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Psychology, a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Makerere University and is enrolling for a PhD. She has worked and trained staff and communities in collaboration with organizations like World Vision, Ashinaga, Scripture Union, Strong Minds-Uganda, Peer Nation.

 Merab N. Ingabire - communications Officer

Merab Ingabire is a social worker with an academic background in journalism and communication from Makerere University Uganda. She is a communications practioner who has worked with different entities,in both governmental and non governmental settings. She carries a wide range of skills which include creative writing, spectacular reporting, public speaking, photography, monitoring and evaluation . She trained at the National Forestry Authority and also worked at Career path International. She is passionate about influencing positive change through youth empowerment and education.

Megga Nalutaaya - FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Megga Nalutaaya is a passionate learner, life coach, speaker, edu-preneur, Afro-Optimist and organizational, training and development consultant. She is driven by her experience and struggles as a village orphan to build bridges for youth to reach their maximum potential and be powerful drivers of sustainable change in their communities. Her passion for improving education and youth development is informed by more than 7 years of work with education and analysing educational and youth development outcomes in Uganda and Africa. She previously served as Director of Operations at KUZA Uganda, a youth leadership development organization.

Megga has studied organizational leadership and management and Social Work/ Social Administration. She is a Community Solutions Program Fellow and has undertaken further training at the Institute for National Transformation and African Leadership Institute for Community Transformation. She lives for a world where children and youth are free and able to be anything they can imagine. A world where Young people find the support and opportunities to live purposeful lives, become their best, and offer their best service to their families and communities. A world of responsible citizens that look for opportunities to mentor, support and raise next generations.

Caroline kemigabo - HR & Admin manager 

Carol graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Business Computing. She is currently a human resource and administration manager at Soaraway. Prior to that, she worked as a Hiring Coordinator for a software development firm as well as an administration and Human resource officer at a media house. She has gained great experience over the years in the same field which drives her passion for integrating various philosophies of human resources and human capital management into her work. It is her goal to direct strategic Human Resources initiatives in order to foster lasting change among the young people. When she’s not at work, she spends most of her time with her family and she’s a born creative designer who loves to sew as well as make beautiful items out of anything in her reach.


Justine Nakiganda -Educ & Dev’t Officer

Justine has been a teacher and an administrator for almost 10years. In addition to her duties at SoarAway, she is the Head of Kindergarten at Ebenezer Classic Junior School, Kakiri where she oversees daily routines, professional development, teaching strategies and Character development for the entire school. She has had trainings in ACSI, Ambassadors for Trust, Word of Life International, VOICE Uganda and many more.

Justine has taken time to develop some materials for character education. She believes that Character Development should be apriority education.

Her passion is to empower and encourage teachers to change their world views about their profession, and be agents of transformation.

Samuel Kajwara - Finance & Accounts manager

Samuel received his Bachelors degree of Science in accounting and Finance from Kyambogo University in Uganda.

He has over seven years of experience in finance and accounting, marketing and operations in both private sector and non for profit sector. He has a wide range of expertise in different accounting systems, policies, and procedures, strategic management. He spent four years at Gapco Uganda Limited as an accounts officer, there after joined Rides for lives a non for profit organization as head finance and acting country manager for 2 years and there after became a consultant in marketing with a marketing agency. He is a very passionate social entrepreneur who cares deeply about issues of sustainableecofriendly people driven development.


Brians Asiimire - Administrative Officer

Brian is a passionate high achieving leader that has influenced change in various institutions and schools where he has served. He is passionate about transformation of young adults and has dedicated himself to helping the young lads to realize their God given potential and find solutions to their challenges . He has used his gifting and fame in sports to mentor and motivate youth as well as mobilize his local community in social service and  volunteering. Brian completed his degree in Community Pyschology from Makerere University and has been serving at Kuza Uganda
